Why we exist
Hiring for cleared, licensed and specialized roles is different. A missed clearance detail, an unverified license or a candidate who was never really committed can cost a program its start date or a proposal its win. Koger Talent was built to close that gap: a recruiting firm run by someone who has sat on the employer side of these hires and knows what has to be true before a candidate reaches your desk.
We recruit cleared and specialized talent for government contractors, their prime partners and commercial employers, with a focus on growing organizations of roughly 50 to 300 employees. Alongside recruiting, we provide fractional and project-based HR support, so clients can get senior HR guidance without a full-time hire.
Meet the founder
Michael A. Smith, SPHR
Founder and Owner
Michael is a U.S. Army veteran with more than 15 years of strategic HR leadership across government contracting, corporate and staffing environments. His career includes roles at Amazon Web Services, CGI, Deep Water Point and Associates, and Monumental Sports and Entertainment. He began his career in finance at Accenture before moving into HR leadership.
That mix of experience shapes how Koger Talent works. Clearance timelines, polygraph types, labor categories and OFCCP obligations are familiar ground, and every search is run with the discipline of someone who has owned hiring outcomes from the inside.
